The project
We design and produce 3D models and animations of packs for PFM Group. Doypacks, stand-up pouches, flow-packs, block-bottom bags and sticks are recreated in 3D and used as mockups on the website and as the stars of the videos shown at trade shows.
The challenge was to show the variety of formats and industries served by PFM machines without relying on clients' products, which are often confidential. So we created realistic, PFM-branded packs, such as Chocolate Bar, Croissants, Grated Cheese, Peanut Candies and Pet Food, paying attention to the details that make them convincing: seals, gussets, bottoms, clear windows and film reflections.
The still-life images feed the Applications and Pack Styles sections of pfm.it. The same models, animated together with 3D models of the machines and multihead weighers, form the basis of the anamorphic videos for the LED walls. The result is a reusable 3D library that reduces the cost of every new piece of content.
