Business card, the perfect introduction

The business card or the passe-par-tout par excellence

In spite of the advent of the digital era, the business card remains a fundamental element when introducing yourself to clients: it’s necessary to consider the target you want to reach and to best express what you do and what your job is.

The main function of the business card is to contain every information in order that the client can contact you at a later time. Other than the full name, obviously, is favourable to insert the following details:

  • The name or the logo of your company
  • Role or Task: the client must know what kind of job you have
  • Telephone number: can a fixed line, a direct line or even a cell phone
  • Email address
  • Highquarters address
  • Your company website or your own website

Other important but not completely necessary information are the links to social networks, both yours and the company’s, and a payoff.

(maybe it would be suitable to design something more modern than this!)

There are some graphic expedients to follow, if you’d like to have a great business card:

  • Choose a font type clear and easily read (avoid cursives and underlining)
  • Written information must be in stark contrast with the background
  • Do not exaggerate with the colours: best not more than 2 or 3
  • Use a good quality paper
  • Keep in mind that the business card has two sides
  • Do not have too much information
  • Do not choose a finish not suitable to corporate identity

Someone, wrongly, turn up their noses at business cards, thinking it superfluous given the predominance of digitalization. Why not be up to date and add a QR code that, if scanned, directly adds the data to the cellphone or links to a specific webpage? Like this:
